We’ve got some good news for the owners of T-Mobile’s G1 and myTouch 3G. Their very own Android 1.6 Donut update is being distributed to them as we speak. It provides quite a lot of new features and software enhancements as well as the usual portion of bugfixes.

Android 1.6 should improve almost every aspect of the handsets’ performance. For starters, the Android market is now slightly reorganized and it should be easier for the users to find the applications they are looking for.

A quick search box with an intuitive self-learning search algorithm is also added. Another nice update is the battery usage indicator, which now gives information for the power consumption of each individual process.

The camera has also been affected by the changes. Its start-up time has decreased by 39%, while the shot-to-shot time got quicker by 28%. There is also greater integration between the camera and the gallery. Additionally, the gallery enables users to select multiple photos for deletion.

According to this source, the Nokia N97 Mini will come in two configurations, with either 8 GB or 16 GB of storage, with an accompanying price reduction — early estimates put the N97 Mini starting at about 100 Euros cheaper than the full N97.
